I am on my spiritual path. It was not something that I asked for nor was a topic that I knew much about. I have a circle of friends who are "connected" to the universe in a deep, meaningful way but I have to admit that several years ago I didn't understand any of it - I do now.
It began in 2004 with a Reiki treatment. Reiki is a spiritual method of healing that helps open blocks both physically and mentally that can help the body begin the healing process. During this treatment, I had visions and messages given to me by the Universe that were life altering. Things that I had suppressed, things that I had forgotten, all came rushing back like a tidal wave - well, in my case, a tsunami. Soon after, I began to notice that I my life had changed. I was more calm, all was peaceful. I learned that I was watching life unfold before me. I now knew that everyday brought a new experience, a new lesson, and new knowledge . When you are placed on this path of enlightenment, your life becomes calm. You don't worry about things because you understand that worrying doesnt change the outcome. In 2005, I was told that I needed to do automatic writing. For those of you who aren't familiar with this form of mediumship, this is writing that is done when you are in an altered state of consciousness (as in meditative state) that enables you to make contact and receive messages from the spirit world. I was contacted by a prophet who told me after several messages that I was to start a ministry. Not knowing anything about ministries since I don't prescribe to any organized religion, I asked around to get some input as to what this entails. A good friend of mine told me that a ministry was a place where someone could go to feel safe, to feel that there is someone there to listen to them and their problems. It was because of this message that we decided to open a retail business. Picture this - no business plan, no money, just a message from the Universe - how do you bring that to the bank? So, I rent a storefront. Being guided by the universe is a funny thing because when the spirit world wants something to happen, it happens at lightening speed! From the day the shop opened, people knew that this was no ordinary shop. On many occasions, we have had people walk into the shop and begin to cry! We have had many instances of people walking in and stating "I have no idea how I got here or why. I got into my car and was directed here." Well, I know why you are here! I spend alot of time just listening to people who need someone, anyone to listen. My responses always seem to comfort them as many times they are channeled responses. We have just started our third year in business and my personal transformation has been profound. We are anxious to actually make a profit someday but we both know that will come through the work that we do. I suppose my message to all of you is that you are not alone in this life. There is always help for you in the universe, and possibly right around the corner if you need. Take the time to sit quietly, ask and wait for the answer.
